Volunteering.
Want to help, but can't provide a home for cats or kittens right now? No problem--there are LOTS of ways you can still help! It doesn't take a lot, and every little bit helps, so please take a look at the ideas below, or contact us and we'll work with you to find a way that let's you help in the way that best uses your talents and available time.
Transport.
Do you care about rescued cats and kittens but can't have any (more), this is a way to help!
We are an all volunteer cat rescue group and we need volunteer drivers to help transport cats to foster homes in the city and suburbs and to veterinarian appointments at the rescue clinics we use.
You would need to have a valid Illinois drivers license, current insurance, a good driving record, and not be allergic to cats.
Please get in touch, even if you can only drive once a week that helps a lot!
Foster.
Even if you can't adopt, just fostering a cat or kittens temporarily in your home will allow our volunteer rescue group time to work on finding a forever home for them and get them off the streets. We will take care of any emergency medical costs and supplies that you need like litterboxes and carriers.
We have many cats both male and female who are desperate for a safe home inside as soon as possible!
Cat Whispering.
Can you help some shy rescued young cats and kittens to get socialized and used to people?
We have several cats and kittens who are very scared and timid, and we really need help from people who are able to devote time to help them over come their fears.
If you can foster for a month or two and work with them, we can move them on to a less experienced foster or adoptive home once they are better adjusted, socially.
Use Your Talents.
If you have other talents that you can contribute, please contact us, and we'll put them to good use!
For example, it's always a challenge to get the word out to people about cats and kittens that need help--so if you've got skills that can help spread the word (for example, with photography, writing, social media, design & marketing, etc.) we could really use your help.
Getting started is easy.
Just send an e-mail with your contact info and a little bit about your talents and interests; we'll be in touch to talk about how we can work together to help cats.
